Summary
This is the entry point for all of my consulting services. Apply if you want to understand where your production loses speed, money and control, and whether 3D printing can help there.
Filling it in takes about 3 minutes. If you have a specific part, you can send a CAD file or a description of the part. I read every application myself and reply within 5 working days.
Before you apply
Answer the following questions for yourself. If you have no clear answer to most of them, that is a good reason to apply.
How much did your last tooling change actually cost you, in total?
How much time realistically passes from idea to a functional part?
How many times have you released something into production that was not fully validated?
How often do you make a compromise because a change is too expensive or too slow?
How much does production dictate your decisions instead of supporting them?
These questions are not pleasant, but this is where the real work begins.
What a production analysis is and what it is not
| Production analysis | Quick quote |
|---|---|
| looks at the whole process, from development to maintenance | looks at one part |
| answers where the process loses speed, money and control | answers how much a piece costs |
| can conclude that 3D printing makes no sense | always ends with a price |
| independent of equipment manufacturers and service bureaus | comes from someone who is selling |
How it works
What you get
If I judge that it makes sense, you get:
A proposal for what is worth changing
A realistic assessment of the effect on speed and flexibility
A recommendation on which of my consulting services you need, if you need any at all
No templates and no empty talk. For examples from practice, see the case studies.
When I do not reply
I reply to applications that show a real problem. I do not reply when I see:
- generic answers without thought
- a focus solely on the price per piece
- a question unrelated to production
This is not a bad opinion of you. It only means that right now you need something else.
