Summary

This is the entry point for all of my consulting services. Apply if you want to understand where your production loses speed, money and control, and whether 3D printing can help there.

Filling it in takes about 3 minutes. If you have a specific part, you can send a CAD file or a description of the part. I read every application myself and reply within 5 working days.

Fill in the application

Before you apply

Answer the following questions for yourself. If you have no clear answer to most of them, that is a good reason to apply.

How much did your last tooling change actually cost you, in total?

How much time realistically passes from idea to a functional part?

How many times have you released something into production that was not fully validated?

How often do you make a compromise because a change is too expensive or too slow?

How much does production dictate your decisions instead of supporting them?

These questions are not pleasant, but this is where the real work begins.

What a production analysis is and what it is not

Comparison of a production analysis and a quick quote on five criteria
Production analysis and quick quote
Production analysisQuick quote
looks at the whole process, from development to maintenancelooks at one part
answers where the process loses speed, money and controlanswers how much a piece costs
can conclude that 3D printing makes no sensealways ends with a price

How it works

Four steps from application to proposal, reply within 5 working days

What you get

If I judge that it makes sense, you get:

A concrete insight into where your process breaks down

A proposal for what is worth changing

A realistic assessment of the effect on speed and flexibility

No templates and no empty talk. For examples from practice, see the case studies.

When I do not reply

I reply to applications that show a real problem. I do not reply when I see:

  • generic answers without thought
  • a focus solely on the price per piece
  • a question unrelated to production

This is not a bad opinion of you. It only means that right now you need something else.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly do you reply?
Within 5 working days. I read every application myself.
Do I have to send a CAD file?
No. A CAD file or a description of the part is optional and helps when you have a specific part. For questions about the process, a description of the problem is enough.
What happens to the files I send?
I use them only to analyze your application and I do not share them with third parties. Files are stored privately and deleted after 30 days. If you need a confidentiality agreement, state that in the application. More about privacy.
Is the analysis free?
Reviewing the application and the first reply are free. If we agree on one of the services, the fee depends on the service, and the pricing model is described on the consulting page.
Which service should I choose in the form?
If you are not sure, choose “I do not know yet”. I will see from the application what you need.
Is there something I can check myself right away?
For metal parts, there is a free geometry check, the SLM DFAM Checker.
What is additive manufacturing?
Producing a part by adding material layer by layer, based on a 3D model. It is the professional term for industrial 3D printing, according to the ISO/ASTM 52900 standard.
